Setting a new standard for patient comfort and flexibility
By employing the latest state-of-the-art technology, Med Health Services (“MHS”) is taking imaging to the patients, not making patients come to the imaging. Along these lines, we are committed to treating all patients with dignity and courtesy, while offering a more pleasant and private environment than the typical hospital setting in the convenience of physicians’ private offices and MHS outpatient facilities. We pride ourselves on being able to schedule appointments in a timely fashion, particularly STAT exams.
Quality Imaging—anytime, anywhere
MHS is among our regions most advanced diagnostic facilities in ultrasound and echocardiography. We provide patients in the Tri-State area with a comprehensive ultrasound-testing menu that places physicians and patients needs at the core of our diagnostic imaging services.
With our state-of-the-art equipment, our technicians are capable of performing the following ultrasound studies at the highest quality afforded by today’s technology in the convenience of our outpatient facilities:
- Carotid Duplex and Intracranial Evaluations
- Non-invasive Vascular Arterial and Venous
- Upper and Lower Extremities
- Abdominal Aorta w/Doppler
- Renal w/Doppler
- Internal Organs—Liver, Gallbladder, Pancreas
- Spleen and Kidneys
- Pelvic, Prostate, Thyroid, Penile and Testicular Ultrasound
- Muskuloskelatal Ultrasound
Patients can expect friendly and professional technologists and radiologists who are among the best in their specialties. Each of MHS’ ultrasound facilities are certified by the American College of Radiology and the IAC for echocardiography, and all of our ultrasound technicians are certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
Rapid turn-around time
MHS has built its reputation by providing the highest quality of care along with rapid turn around time for results. Our commitment to provide quality imaging services to the medical community of this region is as strong today as it was when we first opened our doors more than twenty years ago.
As such, we emphasize a rapid turn-around time that has results back in your referring physician’s office within 48 hours, and same-day callbacks for critical results. We currently have over 50 diagnostic imaging facilities in and around the Pittsburgh area, which can accommodate patients on an as-needed basis.
For further information regarding our diagnostic imaging or laboratory services, call our main office at 800-443-2035, Extension “152” or contact our manager of outreach testing.
Preparing for your utrasound:
Certain sonography tests require fasting. If you are having an abdominal or abdominal aorta ultrasound performed, you should make sure not to eat 12 hours prior to the study. If you are having a pelvis or prostate ultrasound performed, you should drink three, 12 ounce glasses of water 1 and 1/2 hours prior to the exam. Patients are asked to hold their urine until after the examination is complete.
