Dr. Oliver W. Caminos specializes in the outpatient care of the primarily cardiac, vascular, complex and end-stage cardiomyopathy patients, with special emphasis in congestive heart failure. In the course of his career, he has distinguished himself as a lecturer in the subject of geriatric cardiology, arteriosclerosis, and preventive medicine. He strongly believes that outpatient diagnostic and medical treatment is the way of the future in medicine.

Committed to avoiding hospital admissions whenever possible, Dr. Caminos explains, “As doctors, we have repeatedly found that physicians, in a modern day outpatient facility such as Med Health Services, can perform the same evaluation in two or three hours that a hospital performs in one week’s time. My goal is to help put the modern day tools that are essential in providing state-of-the-art treatment and diagnostic technical procedures in the hands of physicians.”

Dr. Caminos completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in Argentina at the University of La Plata’s General San Martin Institute, and later fulfilled his cardiology fellowship at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. For more than 30 years, Dr. Caminos has specialized in clinical and invasive cardiology. In the last several years he has put special emphasis in the care and follow-up of Congestive Failure, CVA and end-stage complex vascular patients. He also provides medical training at Pittsburgh Cardiovascular Institute in vascular and cardiac sonography to imaging technicians and students from several sonography schools. Dr. Caminos is licensed in
Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida.

Dr. Yaser Kalash is board certified in the fields of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, with a subspecialty of Nuclear Medicine and Peripheral Vascular Disease. The doctor also has extensive experience in Interventional Cardiology/PTCA, Transesophageal Echochardiography, Stress Echocardiography, and permanent pacemaker implantation.

In the course of his career, Dr. Kalash has distinguished himself as a lecturer in the subject of cardiology. Since the beginning of his career, he has and continues to hold several academic appointments and Medical privileges at at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Shadyside Hospital, Forbes Regional Hospital, Mercy Jeannette Hospital, and the Life Care Hospitals of Pittsburgh.  Dr. Kalash is licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.

Dr. Carlos A. Borzutzky, commonly referred to by colleagues as “Dr. B,” completed his medical residency in Pediatric Radiology at the Exequiel Gonzalez Cortes Children’s Hospital in Santiago, Chile. Shortly thereafter, he moved to the United States in 1971 and completed a second residency in pediatrics at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York city and in diagnostic radiology in 1976 at the University of Pittsburgh’s Montefiore Hospital. Dr. B then pursued his fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at the Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh from 1984-1985.

In addition to working as a reading radiologist for Med Health Services, Dr. Borzutzky has been on staff at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pittsburgh Specialty Hospital, Elwood City Hospital, Penn Vascular Lab and Ohio Valley Hospital. He also specializes in teleradiology and works in private practice as well.

Dr. B is licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.

Dr. Pawar completed both his medical and surgical residencies at the SSG Hospital Medical Science University in Baroda, India, and then came stateside at Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York to complete his residency in Radiology. He came to Pittsburgh in 1979 and has since held several staff appointments with UPMC, Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jameson Memorial Hospital and Alle-Kiski Medical Center.

For more than 25 years, Dr. Pawar has specialized in all facets of diagnostic radiology, including ultrasound, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, abdominal and vascular ultrasound and echocardiography. The doctor has published several articles throughout the years in the ENT Journal, the American Journal of Radiology, and the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, and frequently participates in ultrasound seminars and CME presentations throughout the area. Dr. Pawar is currently Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.

Dr. Mariano completed his medical residency at Santo Tomas Medical School Hospital in the Philippines. He moved to the United States in 1959 and completed a Rotating Internship at St. Mary’s Hospital in Minneapolis. Dr. Mariano then came to Pittsburgh to complete his residency in radiology at St. Francis General Hospital, and moved on to the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology for his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology.

In addition to working as a reading radiologist for Med Health Services, Dr. Mariano has been on staff at the Mercy Jeannette Hospital’s Department of Medical Imaging for more than thirty years now. He has also held privileges at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, and worked in private practice as well.

After completing his residency as Instructor and Chief Resident in Pathology at the UPMC Medical Center, Dr. Bedetti was appointed Staff Pathologist at Presbyterian University Hospital and later Director of the hospital’s Renal Pathology and Electron Microscopy Laboratory. Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, the Doctor has been the Director of Laboratories and acting Chairman of the Department of Pathology at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital Forbes Regional Campus since the early 1990s.

 

Since the beginning of his career, Dr. Bedetti has held several academic appointments at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is a clinical associate professor of pathology at UPMC. On top of acting as Laboratory Director for Med Health Services, Dr. Bedetti actively serves on several medical committees at Forbes Regional Hospital.
